Welcome to Blessed Beginnings Learning Center, where we provide faith-based education paired with the renowned High Scope Curriculum. Located in Detroit, MI, we nurture children from the ages of 2 months to 5 years old, offering a range of age-appropriate resources and activities to foster their development.
Mission
To love and educate each child within the sanctuary of the village. We partner with families to support the healthy development of the whole child and deliver exceptional learning experiences for children from birth to five years old.

To build a unified village where families, educators, and the community work together to help every child reach their fullest potential. At Blessed Beginnings, we aim to be the premier environment for learning and growth, changing the world one child at a time.
Who We Are
Founded in 1999 by LaShawn Bridges (with an M.A. in Early Childhood Education), Blessed Beginnings Learning Center has been serving families in Detroit with love, care, and innovation. We are proud to have created a school that fosters early learning in a fun and secure environment where each blessed child can thrive.
Our innovative approach combines exploration and discovery with emotional intelligence and the formation of lifelong friendships. By encouraging curiosity, empathy, and kindness, we ensure every child has a bright and positive start in life.

Blessed babies enjoy a variety of activities, including gardening, music, dance, and more, all designed to spark curiosity and joy.
Our Classrooms
Infant Classroom (2 months - 12 months)
The Infant Classroom has low child-to-educator ratios and provides a loving environment. There is plenty of room for exploration, and soft toys along with age-appropriate activities are readily available.
Young Toddler Classroom (13 months - 22 months)
The Young Toddler Classroom features low ratios and a learning environment designed to foster curiosity and exploration. Children have access to climbing and riding toys, push-pull items, sensory play, a soft block area, a dramatic play house area, a book area, and an art area.
Older Toddler Classroom (23 months - 33 months)
The Older Toddler Classroom also maintains low ratios and focuses on child-initiated activities and curiosity-driven learning. The space includes a house area, block area, writing area, art area, and book area to encourage creativity and foster learning.
Preschool 1 & 2 Classrooms (3 - 4 years)
The Preschool 1 & 2 Classrooms are designed with low ratios and an emphasis on fostering curiosity and exploration. Children engage in child-initiated activities and have access to house, block, writing, art, and book areas. Sensory play and technology-based activities are also incorporated.
Pre-K 1 & 2 Classrooms (4 - 5 years)
The Pre-K 1 & 2 Classrooms offer low ratios and a learning environment that promotes curiosity and exploration. Child-initiated activities are encouraged, and children can explore house, block, writing, art, and book areas. Sensory play, technology engagement activities, and whiteboards are included in each classroom. Additionally, every child receives a free subscription to the IXL learning app.

Merging Teaching and Childcare
At Blessed Beginnings Learning Center, we offer a range of programs tailored to support the growth and development of blessed babies from infancy through preschool.
We believe it’s never too early to begin learning. Every moment at our school is an opportunity for exploration, growth, and discovery.
